Nowadays, people are spending a lot more time on their mobile phones than earlier. As per the recent studies, an average mobile-user in the U.S. spends more than 5 hours a day on his smartphone. The larger amount of time is spent on websites and applications. The main difference between an excellent and a poor app is the UX. Quality designed UX is a prime reason which separates a successful app from an unsuccessful app. In today’s time, mobile users have lots of expectations from a mobile application. As they want their application to be fast while loading, and easy to use. So, for creating a successful app, a designer must consider UX as an important component of the app making strategy. Key Points For Designing An Interactive Mobile App:

Minimizing the cognitive load on the user:

The cognitive load is the quantity of brain power needed to use an app. A human brain has the deficient amount of processing power, and when an app gives lots of information, it will become difficult for a user to handle. Due to which the user discards that task.

Removing unnecessary information:

Removing the unnecessary information from the application is one of the must-do recommendations from experts. Because irrelevant stuff is considered rival of a good design. With the removal of irrelevant stuff from your application, a designer can overload its user with lots of relevant information. Moreover, we already have less space to use, that’s why it becomes a necessity to keep only relevant stuff in the mobile applications. It also improves user’s understanding of a particular application.

Dispose of tasks:

By any possible means, simplifying the user’s efforts also becomes helpful in enhancing the application. Like in most of the cases, the interface shows previously entered data, it will become time saver for a user as he can reuse that data. Also, if an interface allows users to set the available information as the default, it will also be a useful step in improving the UX of an app.

In Summary:

The Use of mobile applications is increasing due to the rise in smartphone users. If a mobile application is interactive, it will become helpful for a user but if the application is non-interactive, then a user won’t take more time in uninstalling it. Lowering the cognitive load of a user, disposing of tasks, and also removing the irrelevant stuff from the application are some quick guides which can help a designer in improving an application.
