Most of the business websites target some specific web users. Depending on the type of the business and the end objectives, it is the sole responsibility of a designer to come up with the best-in-class web solution. The design puts a huge impact in driving users to your website and engage them.
One of the main factors that play a significant role in keeping users engaged is the trust towards the design. As a UI designer, I have come across several situations where clients were concerned a bit about empathy, trust, look and feel etc. But if you are designing particularly for a business where your goals are to fetch customers visiting your site, then the design must be trustworthy.
So, in this article, I would walk you through 3 simple techniques that are likely to bring more trust to the website design.
Visual Design
Color schemes used for designing a website plays a significant role. Colors represent the environment, type, and mood of the design. Inappropriate use of colors can be misleading from users’ perspective. Follow a color scheme for your website and adhere to the pattern libraries. Be careful while introducing colors that is not the part of your style guide.
Design Quality
It basically refers to a well-organized site. Having a meaningful navigation ensures that the site considers the needs of the users and their mindsets. Anything that users are not aware of and find suspicious should not be the part of the design. Do not add external links that distract users and are not pertinent as it might distract them and they may lose trust.
Comprehensive, Correct and Current
It’s always a great idea, to be honest with your clients and users. Authentic information, up to date business portfolio and proven records is something that imparts trust to the design in addition.
