The Importance of “Default”

When you are dealing with a project that needs a vast number of tasks to be accomplished, working on every minute elements can save you a bunch of time yielding efficient task performance.

Take for an instance you are working on an interface design that requires users to select a specific value from a drop-down list. A general approach is to use a drop down or certain sliders to go down the values and select one. On a better note, a functionality can be added that automatically suggest the default value which is most likely to be entered and also allow users to feed keyboard input.

Similarly, you need to figure out other interfaces where you can define the shortest path to the task. This will allow users to work faster on their system.
